Joann Roberts, age 83, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026. Joann was born December 26, 1942, to late O’Neal and Josephine Bryant.
Her survivors include her son, Michael Roberts of Ocilla, Georgia; grandchildren, Kayla Clemmons (Derrik) of St. Marys, Georgia, Kyle Roberts (Nicole) of Moss Point, Mississippi, Cam Williams (Valerie) of Lakeland, Georgia, and Jayda Roberts of Nicholls, Georgia; eight great-grandchildren, Leela, Grayson, Aubrey, Walker, Adie, Vivi, DJ, and Aaliyah; two sisters, Lucy B. Lowe (Waren) of Ray, Georgia, and Janis Gordon of Macon, GA; and one brother, John C. Bryant (Wanda) of Axson, Georgia; special ex-daughter-in-law, Emily Foret (Dewayne) of Douglas, Georgia.
Joann is preceded in death not only by her parents but also her husband, Jimmy Roberts; daughter, Debra Lynn Williams; two sisters, Wanell Fowler and Lou Ann Bryant; two brothers, Whitley Bryant and Otis Bryant; and granddaughter, Rihanna.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Bethany Holiness Cemetery at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the chapel of Sims Funeral Home, with a procession to the cemetery.
