Mr. Johnny Jackson White, III, age 59, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away, Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Waycross, Georgia, after a brief illness.
Jackson, as he was affectionately known, was born on November 25, 1966, in Coos Bay, Oregon, to the late Juanita Carlene Horn White and Johnny Jackson White, Jr. Jackson was especially gifted and a skilled craftsman with his hands. He could build, remodel, tear down, and put back together just about anything presented to him, restoring it to perfect working order.
He was the owner and operator of several businesses throughout his life. His all-time favorite sport was racing. His family describes him as an adrenaline junkie. If there was one thing Jackson loved almost as much as his family, it was racing. Whether it was stock cars, motorcycles, or four-wheelers, he had a need for speed. He loved the thrill of the ride and the excitement of being behind the wheel or handlebars. That passion reflected the man he was—bold, adventurous, and never one to sit still when there was life to be lived. Jackson lived life to the fullest, and his spirit was as unforgettable as his love for a fast ride. He was a man of imperfections, just like all of us, but he was also a man who left his mark on the people fortunate enough to know and love him. In addition to his parents, Jackson was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve and Robbie.
Jackson is survived by his loving wife of nearly forty-one years, Alicia Jean Smith White, of Douglas, Georgia; his two wonderful children, Chris Smith and his wife, Brandilyn, of Ambrose, Georgia, and his daughter, JaDawn White, of Douglas, Georgia; and his five loving grandchildren: Bryce Kirkland, Landon Smith, Jade Smith, Kenley McKinnon, and Adaley McKinnon. He is also survived by his brother, Randy White, and sister-in-law, Donna White, of Douglas, Georgia; his nephews, Timmy (Kelley) Davis, Travis (Brandy) Davis, and Coy (Brittany) White; and his niece, Joyce Gallegos.
Though his race on this earth has come to an end, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the legacy he left behind will continue for generations. He will be missed in ways words cannot fully express, but he will never be forgotten by the family who loves him. Your race is finished here, but your memory will ride on forever.
Graveside rites will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Timmy Davis, Todd Davis, Brian Rudeseal, Allen Williams, Shelby Murray, Travis Davis and Coy White. Interment will follow immediately after the service.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc.
