Johnny Wayne Hollis, age 74, of Willacoochee, GA, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 29th, 1951, the son of the late James Aubrey Hollis Sr. and Alice Florene Roberson Hollis.
His survivors include: two daughters; Pearlie (Britt) Watkins of Waycross, GA, and Kristy (James) Wilson of Alma, GA, five grandchildren; Chelsea Watkins, Cassie (Juan) Wilson, Bryan (Kasey) Wilson, Jesse Wilson, and Julie Newbern, two sisters; Barbara Newbern of Valdosta, GA, and Gina Hollis of Willacoochee, GA, four brothers; Jimmy Hollis of Douglas, GA, Laddie Hollis of West Green, GA, Roy (Frankie) Hollis of West Green, GA, and Rickey (Debbie) Hollis of West Green, GA, six great-grandchildren; Jaralynn Harper and Annistyn Newbern, “His Two Coochies” Aubree and River Novoa, Ryan and Colton Counts, his special pet; Maggie, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife; Jean Tallent Hollis, two brothers; David Hollis, and Terry Hollis, father; James Aubrey Hollis Sr., and mother; Alice Florene Roberson Hollis.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, on May 7th, 2025, at 4:00 PM, with Rev. Kevin Bounds and Rev. Issac Thomas.
Interment will follow at Mims Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Juan Novoa, Bryan Wilson, Chris Bryant, Tony Hendricks, Ricky Guerrero, and John Holton.
