Mrs. Juanita Carlene Horne White, age 84, of Douglas, passed away Friday afternoon, December 7, 2018, at Landmark Hospital in Savannah following a short illness. Mrs. White was born November 30, 1934 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Jackson White, Jr. and a son, Steven Ball.
Mrs. White had lived in the Douglas area with her son for the past few months. Mrs. White was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Coquille, Oregon.
Survivors include: Son Johnny Jackson White III and his wife Alicia Jean of Douglas; grandchild: JaDawn White of Douglas; great grandchild Kenley McKinnon of Douglas; sister Carol Smith of Coos Bay, Oregon; stepson Christopher Smith and his wife Brandilyn of Ambrose; step-grandchildren Landon Smith of Douglas and Jade Smith of Ambrose; and nephew Robert Smith of Asheville, North Carolina.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
