Keep Douglas Beautiful has received a $1,000 Neighborhood Grant from The Starbucks Foundation, recognizing the work that the organization is doing in Douglas. The grant was a result of a nomination from local Starbucks employee and Keep Douglas Beautiful Board member, Michael Hill, who has seen the organization’s impact firsthand.
Through the Neighborhood Grants program, The Starbucks Foundation invites partner – led nominations and considers insights from Starbucks partners to award grants to nonprofits and charities making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve. The grant will be used for KDB activities relating to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

This year, the Starbucks Foundation received more than 43,000 nominations from Starbucks partners across the U.S. and Canada. In 2026, for the seventh year of the Neighborhood Grants program, The Starbucks Foundation awarded over $4 million to more than 2,700 local organizations across North America nominated by Starbucks partners.
