The Coffee Lady Trojans are headed to an Elite Eight matchup against the Woodward Academy Lady War Eagles after they defeated the Morrow Lady Mustangs 65-53 on Friday night at the Coffee High gym. The game will be played at Woodward Academy.
The Lady Trojans led 35-30 at halftime and maintained their lead through the third and fourth quarters. They outscored Morrow in every period. Jasmine Porter led Coffee offensively with 18 points. Aria Paulk scored 15 followed by Carrdreal Pearson (12), Iryonnia Lewis (10), Lexie Bradford (7), Jasmine Moody (2), and Lakener Edwards (1).
Going into Friday night’s Sweet 16 games, the Lady Trojans were ranked #7 the MaxPreps poll. Woodward Academy was #11. Morrow had been ranked #10.
Coffee will travel to Woodward Tuesday. Game time and ticket information is forthcoming.
The Lady Trojans are now 27-2 on the season.
