Marcus R. Plymale, age 71, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Plymale was born on June 25, 1954, in Coffee County, GA to the late Curtis and Becky Plymale.
Survivors include: two sisters, Sarah (Darren) Shrouder of Douglas, GA and Jane (Tony) McPherson of Tifton, GA; two brothers, Steve (Diane) Plymale of Laurinburg, NC and Earl (Paulette) Plymale of Nashville, GA; one step-sister, Nina (Al) Davis of Cordele, GA; 11 nieces and nephews: Ashley (Maria) Plymale, Becky (Clifton) Solomon, Emily (Frank) Crowe, Jud (Carrie) Davis, Parker (Melissa) Borland, Allison (Levi) Harrell, Annie (Gib) Peele, Josh (Jess) Plymale, Zackery (Kate) McPhearson, Aubree (Gavin) Hamby and Ansley Tomberlin; and several great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Plymale was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Becky Plymale and step-mother, Valeria Plymale.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at Covenant Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk, Rev. Rodney Courson, and special family members officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Honorary pallbearers will include Staff of the Coffee County Sheriff’s office and Rex and Diane Batten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Fund.
