Nayomie Denise Tanner, age 59, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Vista Care Center in Douglas. Mrs.Tanner was born on February 22, 2025, in Douglas, GA to the late James Williard Davis and Ammie Kay Davis.
Her survivors include: her beloved husband, Chaffter Tanner of Axson, GA; two daughters, Shana (Cody) Smith of Douglas, GA and Shyhia (Brandon) Taylor of Axson, GA; one son, Chaffter (Chloe)Tanner II; mother, Ammie Kay Davis of Axson, GA; seventeen grandchildren: Chaffter Tanner III, Kolten Tanner, Kamden Tanner, Lennie Tanner, Audrey Bennett, Brayson Tanner, Hoss Tanner, Konr Tanner, McCoy Tanner, Carson Taylor, Sydney Anderson, Gracelyn Smith, Lailyn Smith, Memphis Smith, Raelyn Taylor, Gunner Taylor and Bodie Taylor; two brothers, Jonathan Clinton Davis and James Harris Davis; two sisters, Rosie Deaton and Brenda Kay Kimberling; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Willard Davis.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 26, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11:00 am Hall Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery.
