Rita Ashley Foley, 41, of Douglas, has been in jail for the last three weeks after deputies found suspected methamphetamine on her person during a July 8, 2026, traffic stop.
An incident report from the sheriff’s office states that an officer stopped Foley because of faulty taillights. During the stop, she said that she did not have a valid license. The report says that Foley was acting nervous while she was talking with officers. She said she was on felony probation and consented to a search of the vehicle. Officers did not find anything illegal in the vehicle.
An officer asked her if she had anything illegal on her person. The report says that she admitted that she did. A female officer searched Foley and found multiple baggies containing suspected methamphetamine in the front of her pants.
Foley was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. She was denied bond and remains incarcerated.
