A 26-year-old was arrested on illegal drug charges after he allegedly admitted to a deputy that had methamphetamine on his person during a roadside interview.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, around 1:30 a.m. on the morning of February 6, 2026, a deputy saw a man, identified as Alexander Joseph Reynoso, 26, of Douglas, walk across Highway 221 in the Oak Park community. Reynoso had prior encounters with law enforcement so the officer pulled up to him. Reynoso didn’t have any active warrants but he admitted to having methamphetamine, according to the report.
The officer searched him and found a meth pipe and suspected methamphetamine. At the jail, officers found more suspected methamphetamine in his sock. Reynoso was charged with possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Coffee County Jail. He was given a $5,500 bond but he remains incarcerated.
