A suspected wanted in connection with a stabbing in Coffee County was arrested in Pearson and booked into the Coffee County Jail on several charges, including aggravated assault.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, on September 9, 2026, at around 1 a.m., officers responded to a Waterford Street address in Douglas in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a male victim on the floor with a knife wound in his lower back.
Witnesses said that Tyrone Lamar Alexander, 42, of Pearson, had stabbed the victim and left the scene in a white Ford Fusion. Coffee County 911 put a be on lookout for the vehicle. A Pearson police officer located the car and made a stop.
Coffee County deputies responded as well. Officers found suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle. Alexander was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit a felony, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, and a failure to register as a sex offender probation violation. He was booked into the Coffee County at 3 a.m. on September 9 and has not been released.
