The Pearson Police Department experienced a highly active week of enforcement operations resulting in the arrest of four individuals on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges related to illegal narcotics and firearms offenses.
The arrests stem from ongoing efforts to reduce drug activity and enhance public safety within the City of Pearson.
Charges include, but are not limited to:
• Conspiracy to Commit a Felony – O.C.G.A. 16-4-8
• Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute – O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(b)
• Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute – O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(b)
• Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute – O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(b)
• Possession of Cocaine – O.C.G.A. 16-13-30(a)
• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crimes – O.C.G.A. 16-11-106
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon – O.C.G.A. 16-11-131
• Possession of Controlled Substances Not in Original Container – O.C.G.A. 16-13-75
• Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers – O.C.G.A. 16-10-24
During the investigations, multiple controlled substances were seized. The majority of these substances tested positive for fentanyl, underscoring the significant danger posed by illicit narcotics circulating within the community.
The Pearson Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to proactive enforcement, community safety, and the reduction of illegal drug distribution throughout the city.
The department is also in the process of establishing a designated anonymous tip line to provide citizens with a secure method of reporting criminal activity. Once activated, the number will be posted and pinned to the top of the Pearson Police Department Facebook page.
