Richard Lloyd Dupree, age 49, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1977, the son of the late Mr. William Edward Dupree and Mrs. Joyce Dupree.
His survivors include: one son, Richard Edward Dupree of Douglas, GA; three daughters, Kimberlyn Dupree of Douglas, GA, Jessica Graham of Douglas, GA, and Shelly (Mitch) Edens of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Jennifer Dupree of Douglas, GA, and Francis (John) Smith of Waxhaw, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Elijah Miller, Destiny Miller, Adam Miller, Bryson Nix, Ava Jernigan, Kingston Jernigan, Braiden Nix, and Ariella Harris; mother, Joyce Dupree; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Patrick Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Chatterton Church Cemetery in Chatterton, GA.
Pallbearers will include: Cam Batten, Scott Graham, Kade Graham, Richard Dupree, James Graham, and Mitchell Edens.
Honorary pallbearers will include: William Laney, the Heaven Saints Motorcycle Ministry, and Mitchell Carter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to the Heaven Saints Motorcycle Ministry.
