Mr. Robert Gregory Melville, age 74, of Alma, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025, with his devoted wife and son by his side.
Born in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, on March 28, 1951, Robert was the son of the late William “Bill” Melville and the late Helen Gettemy Melville. He was the owner/operator of an auto body shop for many years, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Sheron Lee Melville of Alma, Georgia; 3 daughters: Lacie Ward of Maryland, Katie Melville of Florida, Lauri Anderson and husband, Scott, of Florida; a son: Robert Lennox, of Georgia; a sister, Sheryl Bendorf of Pennsylvania; 2 brothers: Bruce Melville, of Missouri, and Roger Melville of Pennsylvania; along with a large number of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Robert’s family would like to share a heartfelt thank you to all of the home healthcare, palliative care, and hospice nurses that helped his loving wife care for him for more than 2 years. They have all become family.
Robert’s family is honoring his wishes for memorialization by cremation and no services to be held at this time.
