Samuel “Patrick” Hope, 36, of Hazlehurst, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2026, in Coffee County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Patrick was born February 17, 1990, in Douglas, Georgia, to Eric Tanner and Daphne Hope. He graduated from Coffee County High School and made his career in the construction industry. Patrick was a devoted husband, loving father, and a man who truly cherished those closest to him. He found his greatest joy in being a husband to his beloved wife, Haley Hope, and a proud father to his two beautiful daughters, Keylie and Lacey. He was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his baby girl, who will forever carry his love with her. Patrick had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, where he found peace, purpose, and time well spent with those he loved. He will always be remembered for his love of family, his strength, and the impact he had on those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gary Barber and Myrtice Spivey, and an uncle, Brent Hope.
Patrick is survived by his devoted wife, Haley Belinda Hope; two daughters, Keylie Green and Lacey Kight, along with a third daughter on the way; his loving mother, Daphne Hope (Marcus Garrison); his father, Eric Tanner, three brothers: Tyler Prescott (Lexus), Chandler Prescott (Emma), and Marcus Hope (Barbara); his sister by heart, Bryanna Anderson; and a nephew, Theo Prescott. He is also survived by his grandparents, Timothy and Patricia Hope and Zina Barber, along with many cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
Patrick’s funeral will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Royals Cemetery. His family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel.
