Mr. Stanford Soles, age 83, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away peacefully Monday evening, January 19, 2026, at Southwell Health and Rehabilitation in Adel, Georgia, following a lengthy decline in health.
Mr. Soles, a native of Coffee County, Georgia, was born September 14, 1942, to the late Nollie Soles and the late Linnie Carver Soles. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and in the Georgia Army National Guard. He later became a delivery person for Williams Institutional Foods for many years, and a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Soles was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Mary Elizabeth Sellers Soles, and 6 siblings: Charlie Soles, Frances Soles Moore, Carlie Soles, Grace Soles Hancock, Herman Soles, and Eula Mae Soles Harper.
Mr. Soles was a loving father to his son, Stanley Ferrell Soles and his wife Lyndi, of Hahira, Georgia; and a devoted grandfather to his two grandchildren, Grant and Baker Soles of Hahira, Georgia. He also leaves behind his last sibling, Wynell Soles Joiner of Goose Creek, South Carolina, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Mr. Soles family will receive friends on Thursday evening, January 22, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia. A funeral honoring his life will be held Friday afternoon, January 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Parkview Calvary Holiness Church with Rev. Kyle Taft, Rev. Mike Bennett, and Rev. Ben Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife.
Active pallbearers will include Greg Soles, Ashley Spell, Johnny Selph, Dewayne Sellers, Donnell Sellers, and Steve Sellers.
Honorary pallbearers will include William Soles, Raymond Soles, Kenny Soles, Dewayne Soles, Derick Soles, Glenn Harper, Tim Harper, Marty Moore, Daryl Moore, Wendell Moore, Bruce Spell, John Long and Larry Hutcheson.
