A 27-year-old remains in jail on methamphetamine charges after he was stopped while riding a bicycle without lights or reflectors in the Oak Park community.
A report from the sheriff’s office states that on October 19, 2026, at around 11:30 p.m., an officer saw Alexander Joseph Reynoso, 27, of Douglas, riding a bike on Sand Street without lights or a reflector. The officer stopped Reynoso and, during the stop, Reynoso began tearing up. The report states that the officer had stopped Reynoso before and when he tears up, it means he has contraband. Reynoso is also out on bond from a previous arrest on methamphetamine charges; the same officer made that arrest.
The officer searched Reynoso and discovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine in one of his socks. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Reynoso was transported to the Coffee County Jail. He has not been released.
