Fender bender leads to arrest of fugitive wanted out of Ohio

A fender bender in the parking lot of a local business led to the arrest of a 28-year-old woman on DUI and fugitive from justice charges. The woman, identified as Krysta Halladay, had an active arrest warrant out of Medina County, Ohio.

According to an incident report from the Douglas Police Department, just before 8 p.m. on December 12, 2025, officers responded to an auto accident in the parking lot of Chix & Fish. When officers arrived, they found that Halladay had allegedly been drinking. They also discovered that Halladay had the warrant out of Ohio with full extradition. The officers performed a field sobriety test, which, the report says, Halladay failed.

Halladay was arrested and booked into the Coffee County Jail on DUI and fugitive from justice charges. She remains in the Coffee County Jail.
