Mr. Terrell Ruenel Cothern, age 78, of Lutz, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2025, at his residence.
Terrell was born September 16, 1947, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Wesley Terrell Cothern and the late Sallie Brigman Cothern. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was a test engineer with AG Communication Systems for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather and was of the Pentecostal faith. Along with his parents, Terrell was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Leon Delbert Murillo, Sr., and a nephew, Leon Delbert Murillo, Jr.
Terrell leaves behind a daughter, Jenna C. Garwol and husband, Donald, of Alden, New York; 2 granddaughters: Harper Garwol and Eliana Garwol; 3 brothers Ferrell Cothern of Brooksville, Florida, Othell Cothern and wife, Pam, of Carrollton, Texas, Cleo “Chuck” Cothern and wife, Barbara, of Louisville, Alabama; a sister, Linda C. Murillo of Douglas, Georgia; along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
A graveside funeral service and interment will be held to honor Terrell on Saturday morning, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Salem Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.
