Luther Terry Weeks, age 73, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Dolphin Point Healthcare in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on July 22, 1952, in Douglas, GA to the late Mr. Chester Weeks and the late Mrs. Lucy Harper Weeks.
His survivors include: four daughters; Jennifer Francis of Jacksonville, FL; Jill Weeks of Charleston, SC; Hannah Weeks of Amarillo, TX and Sarah Weeks of Amarillo, TX; four grandchildren: Kalee Harden, Taylor Harden, Emilee Harden and Noah McDonald; and one brother, Donnie Weeks of Tifton. He was preceded in death by: father; Chester Weeks; mother, Lucy Weeks; and one brother; Jimmy Weeks.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12:00 pm at West Ward Street Church of God in Douglas, GA, with Rev. Coleman Peacock, Rev. Van McCall, and Rev. Britt Peavy officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Hill Church Cemetery.
