If you’re going to make a road trip of nearly 300 miles, you may as well win and win big. That’s exactly what the Coffee Trojans did Friday night against the Crestview (Florida) Bulldogs in Crestview.
Coffee made the long ride west on I-10 to face the 0-4 Bulldogs. When the final seconds ticked off the clock, the Bulldogs were 0-5 and the Trojans left the panhandle with a 47-6 win.
Coffee started scoring on their first possession and never let up. The Trojans got touchdowns from Xavien Littleton (4), Tyler Dowling (2), and Jamien Mack (1).
Tyquez Morris and Kadrien Wooten intercepted Bulldog passes. Wooten’s pick set up Mack’s touchdown late in the third quarter.
Crestview scored its only touchdown at the end of the second quarter and went into halftime trailing the Trojans 33-6.
Coffee is 4-0 this season and open the region schedule next week against the Tift County Blue Devils at Brodie Field in Tifton. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. The Blue Devils are 3-1 with wins over Luella (41-0), Effingham County (25-22), and Crisp County (42-12). Their lone loss came at home against Lambert (21-7).
