The Coffee Trojans are 3-0 after defeating the Zephyrhills Christian Academy (Fla.) Warriors 42-6 Friday night at Jardine Stadium.
The Trojans carried a 36-0 lead into halftime thanks to touchdowns by Xavien Littleton (and a two-point conversion after the score), Bobby Reynolds (three scores; 45 yards and two three-yarders), Jasiah McRae (34-yard TD reception from Littleton), and J.D. Moore (55 yards). Cristofer Hernandez made all of his extra points except for one.
The Trojans also intercepted three passes – Tresean Smith, McRae, and Amauni Manning all came away with picks.
The Warriors scored in the final play of the game, a 14-yard run by quarterback Josiah Carter.
The Trojans are off next week then make a long trip on I-10 to Crestview, Florida, for the final non-region game of the season against the Crestview Bulldogs. After that game, Coffee is on the road again to face the Tift County Blue Devils in the first region game of the year.
