The Coffee Trojans won their fifth game in a row and their first region contest Friday night against the Tift County Blue Devils 35-14 at Brodie Field in Tifton.
Xavien Littleton scored three rushing touchdowns (four, five, and seven yards). Quarterback Tyler Dowling (three yards) and running back Bobby Reynolds (79 yards) scored the Trojans’ other two touchdowns. Kicker Cristofer Hernandez was perfect on extra points.
Tift County scored its points when Christian Frambo ran the opening kick back 95 yards for a touchdown and Jontrez Woodard scored from four yards out. Both of David Olguin’s extra points were good as well.
Next week, Coffee welcomes the Lee County Trojans to Jardine Stadium for another big region matchup. Friday, the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets defeated Lee 49-26 in a battle between the region’s top two teams. Lee had entered the Thomas County Central game as a 10-point favorite.
Coffee is 5-0 overall and 1-0 in region play.
