Vicky Huckaby, age 89, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Lakeside Senior Living in Douglas, GA. She was born on May 8, 1936 the daughter of the late Mr. Roger Johnson and the late Mrs. Beula Adams Perry.
She loved the Lord first and then her family and friends. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church until she became unable to attend, but she continued to support the church that she loved. She was a nurse for the majority of her life as well as a faithful wife and mother. She enjoyed word stitching and reading, and her children and grandchildren. She made the best fudge every year to give to her friends and always made sure to put a bit aside for her grandson Matt because she knew he loved it and looked forward to it each year. She passed away after a brief illness at her home. She was 89 years old.
Her survivors include: two daughters, Glena Bailey and Donna (Jonathan) Smith; one sister, Kay Erickson; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Johnson and Shirley Johnson; seven grandchildren, Evan Bailey, Samantha Bailey, Matt (Rachel) Moseley, Gary (Lauren), Andy (Kimberly), Tori (Scott) Whitley, and Patrick Smith; thirteen great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Walter Cecil Huckaby; father, Roger (Edith) Johnson; mother, Beula (Henry) Perry; three sons, Jimmy Lowry, Gary Huckaby, and Victor Huckaby; three brothers, Larry Johnson, Roger Johnson, and Ronald Johnson; and great grandchild, Mattielynn Moseley.
Graveside services will be held at the City of Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, GA on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Debbie Huckaby officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Matt Moseley, Evan Bailey, Gary Huckaby, and Andy Huckaby.
