Vivian Huerta, age 81, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8th, 2025 at her residence, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 30th, 1944, the daughter of the late James Ervin Spivey II and the late Mary Anderson Spivey.
Her survivors include: two daughters, Debra (Roger) Watkins of Douglas, GA and Dorothy F. (Raybo) Carver in Broxton, GA; one son, Michael Glen (Melissa) Watkins of Nicholls, GA; two sisters, Shirley Ann Hollinger of Westgreen, GA and Kathy Reliford of Pearson, GA; two brothers, Lewis (Francis) Spivey of Douglas, GA and Junior Ray (Chrystal) Spivey of Mississippi, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: father, Ervin Spivey II; mother, Mary Anderson Spivey; two daughters, Marie Rios and Sandra Lynn Watkins; one son, Robert Watkins Sr.; two sisters, Ella Mae Stone and Irvine Merritt; and one brother, James Ervin Spivey III.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12th, 2025, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Byron Griffis officiating.
Active pallbearers will include: Otho Watkins, Alexander Watkins, Adam Rea, Max Duque, Larry Sellers, and Jimmy Sellers.
Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
