Vonell Musgrove Mizell, age 100, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 8th, 1925, the daughter of Henry Musgrove and Vera Walden Musgrove.
Her survivors include five sons, Marvin Lindsey Mizell of Kathleen, GA James Larry (Nick) Mizell of Douglas, GA, John Orvin Mizell of Clover, SC, Jeff Mizell of Vidalia, GA, Ray Lehmen Mizell of Douglas, GA, and Ira Mizell of Lake Hughes, CA; two daughters, Judy Dunn of Williams, GA and Julianne Mizell of West Green, GA; three brothers, Tommy Musgrove, Joe Musgrove, and Carl Edward Musgrove; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: children, Louise Wright, Kay Leonard (KL) Mizell, and Tyronen (Tony) Mizell, Marvin Mizell Jim Mizell and Henry Mizell; father, Henry Musgrove; and mother, Vera Walden Musgrove.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5th, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy in Millwood, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy in Millwood, GA with Rev. Mary Weaver officiating, along with special speaker Bobby Musgrove. Interment will follow at Mt. Green Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
Song selections were made by the family: “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High”.
Active pallbearers will include her grandchildren.
