Mr. William F. (Bill) Goodman, Jr., age 90, of Douglas, GA passed away Wednesday night, April 26, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Goodman was born October 10, 1926 to the late William F. Goodman, Sr. and the late Myrtle Dean Goodman. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Don Goodman, Bobby Goodman and Harold Goodman, and a sister; Nancy Peake. Mr. Goodman was a native of Adwolfe, VA. He had lived in the Douglas area for many years. He had retired after many years of employment in the garment industry having worked with Johnny’s Sportswear and Spectrum. Mr. Goodman was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughters Maria Koltunski and husband Phillip of Spartanburg, SC , andMichelle Miller and husband E. J. of Douglas, GA; grandchildren Jennifer and Aaron Reed and children, Gracie, Izzie and Charles, Scott and Vicki Miller and children, Zoey, Luke and Ian, Rachel Lindsay and children, Emilia and Elian, Justin and Jay Miller and children Kaiden and Lana, all of Douglas, GA, and Lindsey Nicole Goodman of Johnson City, TN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The memorial service was held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Michelle Miller. Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
