Willie Lee Lumpkin, age 81, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Lumpkin was born on March 3, 1934, in Schley County, GA to the late Willie Lee Lumpkin, Sr. and Minnie Jewel Smith Lumpkin.
Survivors include: his wife: Mary Lumpkin of Ambrose, GA; son, Timothy Lumpkin of Homerville, GA; two daughters, Kim (Earl) Mayo of Ambrose, GA and Libby (John) Johnson of Waycross, GA; two sisters, Dollie McDaniel of Albany, GA and Martha (A.J) Nobles of Albany, GA; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until funeral hour at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Vernon and Rev. David White officiating. Interment will follow at Leesburg City Cemetery.
