Mr. Stephen Clay Rawlins, age 46 of Broxton, GA, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 following a brief illness. Mr. Rawlins was born May 8, 1974 to Joel Thomas Rawlins and Jean Carol Smith Rawlins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Rawlins.

Mr. Rawlins, a native of Clayton County, GA, was a heavy equipment operator in construction. He attended Ambrose Christian Church.

Survivors include:

Children: Connor Rawlins of Lake City, FL
J. D. Rawlins and Bo Rawlins, both of Ambrose, GA

Step-Children: Allie Newman and Leeia Newman of Ambrose, GA

Parents: Joel Thomas and Jean Carol Smith Rawlins of Ambrose, GA

Brother: Mike Rawlins of Broxton, GA

The graveside service and interment will be Saturday morning, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Rocky Creek Cemetery with Pastor Doralyn Paulk officiating.

Musical selections “Broken Halo” and “Amazing Grace” will be presented by the soloist, Emmy Nettles.

Active pallbearers will be Dexter Collins, Daniel Paulk, Nick Rawlins, Bobby Spires, Clay Spires, Todd McDermitt, Ron Lott and John Smith.

Please note, due to COVID-19, attendees are asked to observe six foot social distancing at the graveside service. Please wear your mask for safety precautions and in accordance with CDC guidelines. We do not furnish masks.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
