Hazelean Worth, age 86, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Worth was born on April 17, 1935 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Calvin & Emma Davis Carver.

 

Mrs. Worth was a retired cashier working for A&P Grocery Store and was member of Broxton Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Silvery and a son, Robert Lamar Worth, Jr.

 

Survivors include husband, Robert L. Worth of Douglas, GA; 2 sons, John W. Worth (Judy Marie) of Broxton, GA and Glen J. Worth (Mary) of Nicholls, GA; sister, Vinnah Murray; brother, Charles Carver; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends Monday, September 13, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWayne Atkinson and Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Ruben Jewell, Tyler Powell, Tristen Powell, Douglas Peterson, Lovey Stone and Matthew Paulk.

 

Attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning containment of the coronavirus, including masks and social distancing.

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
