Mr. Jerry Odell Surles, age 76, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Surles was born November 14,1937, in Dunn, NC to the late Menson Webb, Sr. and Mamie Alice Surles.

Mr. Surles is survived by his wife, Kathy Carter Surles of Douglas; two daughters: Donna (Steve )McGowan of Albany and Jerrie (Ralph) Evans of Douglas; one granddaughter, Adrienne Evans of Douglas.

The Surles family will receive friends and neighbors Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Saint Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at the Douglas City Cemetery.

Sim’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    If your dog is still a puppy then chances are introducing the
    two would go pretty smooth. They come in brown, black, white, or mixed fur with some
    having a “raccoon like” mask around their eyes.
