Mr. Olin Emory Rivers, age 92, of Broxton passed away Friday morning, Dec. 12, 2014, at his residence following a short illness. He was born Feb. 6, 1922 to the late Claude Wesley Rivers and the late Carrie Denham Rivers.

Mr. Rivers was a Electrician, having worked with Lott Builders Supply Company, Douglas Electric, and the G. & F. Railroad of Douglas. He was also preceded in death by 10 siblings, Sam Rivers, Ewell Rivers, Johnny Rivers, Claude Rivers, Jr., Irene Eubanks, Edna Lubin, Carrie Bell Garrison, Lucille Reaves, Lena Hammons, and Julia Wilson.

Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Polly Ann (Jimmy) Young of Wray, in the Pridgen Community.; 1 Son: Robert (Wanda) Rivers of West Green, Ga.; 4 Grandchildren: Mark Rivers, Johnny Rivers, Sonia Batten, and Jimmy Young, Jr.; 10 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 2:00 P. M., at the Broxton Baptist Church, with Rev. Freddie Gardner and Rev. Kevin Bounds officiating. The Interment will follow in the Broxton City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9 :00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
