Mr. Tommie Marion “Tom Cat” Gillis, age 69, of Willacoochee passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, January 20, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born February 23, 1945 to the late Leon Gillis and the late Bertice Bagley Gillis.

Survivors include: His Wife: Elizabeth Nipper Gillis of Willacoochee, Ga.; Step-Daughter: Hope (Darrell) McLeod of Savannah, Ga.; Step-Son: Rev. Buddy (Janna) Phillips of Waynesboro, Mississippi.; 1 Brother: Paul (Jane) Gillis of Douglas, Ga.; Nephew: Jason (Sarah) Gillis of Douglas, Ga.;Nieces: Melva (Sammy) Harden of Plantersville, Mississippi, and Dianne Puckett of Atlanta, Ga.; 6 Grandchildren. Many Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Friday, January 23, 2015, at 11:00 A. M., at the Saving Grace Holiness Church, with the Interment to follow in the Chatterton Grove Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
