The Satilla Regional Library System hosted a visit from Ms. Raven of the Jacksonville Zoo on Wednesday, June 17.

Ms. Raven performed an animal show that included a collared dove, tortoise, and alligator. She talked about mammals, the history of each animal she brought to share with the audience, and discussed each one in depth.

She held an audience participation in which the children had the opportunity to pet the alligator at the conclusion of the show.

Bright Star Theatre will be our next performance group on Wednesday, June 24 at 11 a.m. in Douglas and 2:30 p.m. in Willacoochee.

They will be performing a theater show entitled Happily Ever After that brings fairy tales to life.

For more information on upcoming youth programs at Satilla Regional Library, please call Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222. You can also visit us online at our website, www.srlsys.org.
