Mr. James Homer Day, age 79, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Friday June 19, 2015 at his home following an extended ilness. Mr. Day was born on December 17, 1935 in Coffee County, GA to the late Homer Day and Fannie Mae McCallum Day.

Mr. Day is survived by his wife: Margaret Day, Ambrose, GA; two daughters: Ronda D. (Riley) Johnson, Ambrose, GA and Lorenda D. (Leon) Gray, Nicholls, GA; one sister: Waunelle Sayer, Broxton, GA; three grandchildren: Ashley McLean, Caleb Vickers, Alex Johnson; one great grandchild: Payton McLean and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Holiness Baptist
Church with the Rev. Kenneth Matthews and the Rev. Joe Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
