The Satilla Regional Library System welcomed a special guest reader, Dr. Heather (Johnson) Massung of Lindsay and Wills Animal Hospital, to the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library on Monday.

Dr. Heather read the story I Want to Be A Veterinarian by Michaela Muntean. Dr. Heather talked about what she does as a veterinarian and about the different kinds of veterinarians for different kinds of animals.

The children took photographs with Dr. Heather and made fold-over cats as their craft activity. Thank you to Dr. Heather (Johnson) Massung for visiting us, everyone had a great time!

The Douglas-Coffee County Public Library holds its story and craft program every Monday at 3:30 p.m.  Their phone number is (912) 384-4667, and they are open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Saturday from 12 p.m.-3 p.m.

For more information on upcoming youth programs at Satilla Regional Library, please call Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222. You can also visit online at our website, www.srlsys.org.
