Mrs. Jane Barrett McKinnon, age 61, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. McKinnon was born on November 23, 1952 in Broxton , GA to the late Albert Richard Barrett and Janie Gourley Barrett.

Survivors include her husband: George McKinnon, Douglas, GA. One daughter: Julie (Robert) Hewitt, Broxton GA.; one step-daughter Jaci McKinnon of Douglas, GA; Brother: David C Barrett, Axson, GA; two sisters Pearl Peacock, Broxton, GA and Virginia O’Steen of Douglas, GA.; four grandchildren: Hayden Hewitt, Leah Hewitt, Dustin Merritt; and Trevor McKinnon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister: Angie Hewitt and grandchild Meghan Merritt.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM At Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Peacock and Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
