Satilla Library System offers numerous children’s/young adults programs during November

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of November for children and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library! For more information about upcoming children and teen programs, please call Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222.

Holiday Closings

Satilla Regional Library will be closed Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veteran’s Day and from Thursday, November 26 toSaturday, November 28 in observance Thanksgiving. Have a great holiday!

Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens

All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Audio Spot Auditions for children and teens 9-18 years of age

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio. Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the month. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations.

Children’s Programming

Story and Craft Program at all locations!!

Douglas: Mondays at 3:30 p.m.
Broxton: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Ambrose: Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m.
Pearson: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., except Wednesday, November 11 when we are closed for Veteran’s Day.
Willacoochee: Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m., except Wednesday, November 11 when we are closed for Veteran’s Day.
Nicholls: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m., except Thursday, November 26 when we are closed for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Family Saturday Movie in Douglas

Come and enjoy a family movie at the library. Popcorn and beverages will be served. Vote on the movie you would like to watch.

Willacoochee: Monday, November 30, 2015 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Teen Events

Douglas Teen Movie Release Party, Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00-2:30 p.m. in the large meeting room in Douglas

Join us for a teen book-to-movie social watching one of your favorites to celebrate the new movie being released later in the month.  Vote on which movie to watch: Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay: Part 1, Jupiter Ascending, or Jurassic Park.  Enjoy refreshments and have great time!

Teen Advisory Board Meeting in Douglas

Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to help plan young adult programming, help order young adult books for the library’s collection, and plan fun teen socials like the Teen Christmas Movie Social and events in 2016!!
