On Thursday, Oct. 29, during Red Ribbon Week, Wal-Mart Transportation and Wal-Mart Distribution Center of Douglas donated three Havis K-9 kennels to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division (currently assigned to the Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit). The donation was in response to the need for the K-9 Division to upgrade the vehicle kennels in use at the time of the request.

John James, Jr., Wal-Mart General Transportation Manager, presented Cpl. Chris Rozar with a check in the amount of $8,410.13. The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Douglas – Coffee Drug Unit wishes to extend a gracious thank you for the donation.

Thanks to Wal-Mart Transportation and Wal-Mart Distribution Center, upgrading the K-9 kennels will not be a burden on the taxpayers of Coffee County.
