Political antagonist, convicted conman, and perpetual victim Bobby Worthy says he’s going to file a civil suit against the City of Douglas and a local restaurant for alleged civil rights violations unless the organizations pony up an excess of $1.3 million to settle with him.
Worhty claims he was illegally detained by Douglas police while they were investigating an October assault incident at the Ole Times County Buffet involving Worthy and former Democratic Georgia House of Representative candidate Larry Nesmith. He also claims staff at the restaurant made false allegations against him to authorities.
Worthy was convicted of thefty by deception in late October in Ware County after duping a victim out of $1,500 and is currently serving a 12-month probation sentence for the crime. Details of that incident can be viewed here. He is also a convicted felon who served numerous prison sentences throughout the 1990’s for forgeries in Ware, Liberty, and Wayne Counties. He was arrested in Waycross earlier this year for stalking local police after posting photos and physical addresses of officers to social media.
Worthy, who also goes by the name Al-Adl Mustafa Muhammad, recently posted his intentions on his various Facebook pages, and we have provided images below of the poorly-written letters he claims to have sent to the city and Ole Times Country Buffet. We have also included a screen shot of a Facebook post Al-Adl Mustafa Muhammad authored in regards to the matter.
Douglas Now has not yet confirmed whether or not the city or Ole Times have received Worthy’s letters.
Here are Worthy’s demands in all their crazy and incomprehensible glory…
