Mr. George Carroll Carver, age 70, of Douglas, passed away early Friday morning, December 11, 2015, at the Palemon Gaskin Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, GA following an extended illness. He was born March 13, 1945 to the late Ira Carver and the late Myrtle Hester Carver.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Angela (Marshall) Knight of Douglas, GA, Candace (Rick) Van Hove of Red Oak, TX; 1 Brother: Alton (Joyce) Carver of Douglas, GA; 1 Sister-in-Law: Ann Carver of Douglas, GA; 6 Grandchildren: Ian Nugent, Walker Nugent and Carson Nugent all of Douglas, GA, Aaron Thompson of Lubbock, TX, Mason Van Hove and Addison Van Hove both of Red Oak, TX; 2 Great Grandchildren: Elijah Nugent and Jagger Nugent both of Douglas, GA; Special Friend: Ernie Rowland of Douglas, GA.

Graveside Services and Interment will be Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at the Salem Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Greene and Rev. Kyle Floyd officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
