Louree Ward, age 80, of Broxton, GA passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Bacon County Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Ward was born on November 1, 1935, in Douglas, GA to the late James Vinson Yarberry and Lou Alice Graves Yarberry.

Survivors include: her two daughters, Lisa Ward (Alfred) Kaussen of Douglas, GA and Barbara Ward (Buddy) Stevens of West Green, GA; son, Ray (Linda) Ward of West Green, GA; three sisters, Carolyn (Dobbie) Bennett of Douglas, GA, Dorothy Williams of Douglas, GA, and Jeanette (Billy) Sapp of Douglas, GA; brother, Ralph (Lydia) Yarberry of Douglas, GA; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rexford Yarberry.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Harper and Rev. Nina Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
