Coffee County school officials announced this morning all schools will be closed for students and staff Friday, Sept. 2, in expectation of severe weather anticipated for the area. Classes will resume Tuesday, September 6, as Monday is a holiday.
Tropical Storm Hermine continues to gain strength off the gulf coast of Florida and is expected to make landfall tonight as a Category 1 hurricane.
Coffee County is currently under a tropical storm warning.
