Douglas Mayor Tony Paulk recently signed a proclamation declaring October 27, 2016 as Passionately Pink Day.

Each year during the month of October, Beta Sigma Phi hosts various events in our community for breast cancer awareness.  Beta Sigma Phi raises funds to promote awareness of breast cancer, support of those affected by breast cancer, and to help fund research for a cure.  This year’s Beta Sigma Phi’s Theme for Passionately Pink Month is “The Tie that Binds – Passion for a Cure”.

Pictured above are: Front Row (L-R)  Commissioner Cindy McNeil, Mayor Tony Paulk and Mayor Pro Tem Olivia Pearson.  Back Row (L-R)– Beth Kitchens, Terry Cook, Gwen Smith, Kay Pow, Lou Hennesy, Reagan Miller, and Lorna Hurst with Beta Sigma Phi.
