South Georgia State College’s men’s basketball team will play its season opener against the Martinique National Team Wednesday, Nov. 2 in the gymnasium on SGSC’s Douglas Campus. The gymnasium is located inside the Douglas Campus Wellness Center.

Tip for the game is set for 7 p.m.

The Hawks begin the new season ranked second in the GCAA preseason coaches poll.  The team finished the 2015-2016 regular season second behind Georgia Highlands and lost in the GCAA semifinals to Central Georgia Tech. The Hawks have won 52 games over the last two seasons.

The Nov. 2 game will be the only home game played on SGSC’s Douglas Campus. The Waycross Campus home opener is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. against Middle Georgia Prep.

General admission to all regular season home games is five dollars with children five and under admitted free.
