Mr. Roy Thomas Graham, age 93, of Douglas passed away early Friday morning, December 16, 2016 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Graham was born October 24, 1923 to the late Thomas Carlos Graham and the late Annie Jewel Rape Graham. Other than his parents he is also preceded in death by one son, Tommy Graham; one sister, Bertie Yawn; and two brothers, Raleigh Graham and Roscoe Graham.
Mr. Graham was a World War II Veteran having served in the Navy. He had been employed as a mobile home truck driver with Fleetwood and Fiesta Homes; a GBI autopsy van driver and a USPS rural postal carrier. He was a founding and active member of Morningside Baptist Church.
Survivors include: His Wife of 51 Years: Delores (Dee) Graham of Douglas, GA; 1 Son: Glenn Graham and wife, Ginny of Douglas, GA; 3 Daughters: Melissa Lott and husband, Keith; and Heather Lankford and husband, Theron all of Douglas, GA, Nancy Hayden and husband, Don of Bowling Green, KY; 3 Brothers: Herman Graham and wife, Tina; Ocie Graham and wife, Nell; and Eddie Graham all of Fitzgerald, GA; 2 Sisters: Myrtle Smith of Moultrie, GA, Clara Ely of Douglas, GA; 7 Grandchildren: Arayna McDonald, Laken McDonald, Kelsey Lott, Keagan Lott, Cadence Settles, Myrle Grate and Lara Bailey; Several Great Grand Children, Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 18, 2016, at 2:00 P. M. at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Robert “Chip” Woodruff and Rev. Robert Wiggley officiating. The interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery. Mr. Graham will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. to lie in state until the funeral hour. The family will be receiving friends Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
