Tyreek Hill and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs saw their season end Sunday night at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Kansas City. The Steelers defeated the Chiefs 18-16 after a successful Kansas City two-point conversion with just under three minutes left that would have tied the game at 18 was called back on a holding call. The subsequent re-do from 10 yards back fell incomplete. On their ensuing possession, the Steelers got a few key first downs then ran out the clock for the win.

One of Pittsburgh’s primary defensive objectives was to neutralize Hill. The receiver/running back/kick returner came into the game with an 11.1 yard average over his 24 carries; the highest yards per carry for any player in NFL history with at least 20 carries. Hill made a few plays but for the most part, the Steelers kept what many believe to be the fastest player in the NFL in check.

Hill finished the game with three carries for 18 yards, four catches for 27 yards, and four returns for 72 yards. On at least one occasion, Hill was wide open downfield and quarterback Alex Smith just didn’t see him. Hill never found the end zone.

Next up for Hill is the Pro Bowl, which will take place on Jan. 29 in Orlando, Fla.
