A search warrant executed last week at a Douglas residence resulted in the arrests of two men, one a wanted fugitive, on suspicion of distributing cocaine.
Detectives with the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit, assited by the Douglas Police Department, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Douglas State Probation Office, performed the search at a home on South Manilla Ave. and discovered quantities of crack cocaine, marijuana, and packaging materials, authorities said.
Deqwavious Deshawn Hawkins (23) and Montel Jermaine Jackson (21), both of Douglas, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
Jackson was also a wanted fugitive and with active warrants for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, two counts of fourth degree forgery, and theft by receiving stolen property.
