Jenny Massey, pseudo, J. G. Jakes, an author of Christian, faith-based fictions, will be signing her books of “The River’s Trilogy” at the First Baptist Church on March 1, 2017, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., and donating the proceeds to support First Academy, an academic, Christian school at the First Baptist Church.

Jenny, mother of Seab Lastinger of Douglas and Lisa Lastinger Lott of Starke, Florida, and grandmother of Sam and Sydnee Lastinger and Maci Lott, is now a retired school teacher and spends her time writing suspenseful fictions and enthralling tales of life’s lessons attuned to the heart and to the Christian message. She strongly believes that by keeping her heart sensitive and with God’s guidance, she can share in her writings how to equip oneself with confidence when facing trials and burdens. More importantly, when your faith is tried, these gripping novels serve as an inspiration in our fight against harboring bitterness and a spirit of unforgiveness.  She strongly feels that writing from the heart on issues that divide us may inspire situations that could unite us.

Always willing to share her faith, Jakes speaks to Christian women’s groups, desiring to bring inspiration and encouragement.  By sharing God’s love and grace, she wants to help others reach their full potential and be all they were created to be.
