Freshman FBLA members Ashni Patel and Samina Patel won fourth place in Emerging Business Issues at the Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference held March 12th-14th, in Athens, Georgia. “They both worked diligently to win this award, and our chapter is extremely proud of them,” stated Timothy J. Tucker, Jr., Chapter President. Both girls will be advancing to the 2017 National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, California on June 29th-July 2nd. Samina also placed sixth in the state in the Battle of the Chapters event.

Additionally, the chapter received recognition as a Silver Chapter, which is the highest level they were able to achieve with 72 members. Mrs. Barlow, chapter adviser, stated, “It’s been an amazing year! Working with this spectacular group of ninth graders has made my job so much more rewarding. It’s always a pleasure to see just what they can accomplish when they set goals for themselves and our organization.”
